Postdoctoral Research Scholar
The Asner Lab is searching for a 2-year postdoctoral scientist who will use data from the US National Ecological Observatory Network (NEON) imaging spectrometer and laser-scanning Airborne Observation Platform (AOP) to understand the impact of invasive species and climate change on a key Southwestern US native riparian tree species (Populus fremontii - Fremont cottonwood). Specifically, NEON’s AOP has flown in 2021 and 2022 over three experimental common gardens of Populus fremontii and many of the key riverine corridors in Arizona and southern Utah.
